February 13, 2006 : First Official Comercial Produced...
The idea for the advertisement was to be part of my final project in my Freshman Seminar class at Dickinson State University in the start of December 2005, but as luck would have it, the students/faculty who saw it, enjoyed it and eventually the advertisement was noticed by the Best Friends Mentoring Program. The Best Friends Mentoring Program then refered me to the local TV station (KQCD) to see if it would be appropriate for broadcasting. After the production manager reviewed it, he commented that some of the scenes were too slow and the gum character should not have the accent that he originally had because some accents are harder to understand by the older demographic that view the stations broadcast. He then instructed me to shorten the animation to within 29.5 seconds because it was too long for the broadcasting spot he had in mind for it.
At first i was really nervous about cutting the original comercial from 74 seconds to 29.5 because it seemed to me that it would loose all its content worth. Fortunately, after about 2 weeks of hard work and figuring out what should stay and what should be cut, it was done. I made a copy of the "final cut" and presented it to the Best Friends and KQCD, they approved, but they could not edit it as a flash file. So, I took it to Chad Troftgruben, a personal friend of mine, and had him transfer the animation to a Mini DV tape (a format the tv station could handel). So, hopefully the comercial should be shown on our local TV station and possibly in our states capital Bismarck, North Dakota.
There is another comercial they wanted me to do in the works right now, and another one after that. Hopefully this new oppertunity will help me get my "foot in the door" of the entertainment industry or at least it will be something that shines on a future resume. I thought both versions of the comercial would make a nice addition to this site for the time being. So, take a look at them, I think you will be impressed at its quality compared to "Stellargate FL-A" or "The Mr.Hick Series". Click here to see the advertisement(s).

September 27, 2005: Stellargate FL-A (Part 2) Delayed release and New Project Revealed.
I know some of you are still waiting for Part 2 to come out, but I have decided to further develope a past series that I had abandoned a few months ago. Don't worry I have NOT ended the Stellargate FL-A series. Part 2 will come out, I promice.
So, right now I bet your wondering "What can this old Project be? and when can we watch it?"....Well, This series I'm going to be comming out with is called "The Mr.Hick Series". The name was actually a nickname given to me because of a 77min. feature-length movie I was in called "The 99.9% Action movie: The Movie" where I played the loveable character "Mr.Hick".
Anyway, This series will be of lesser visual quality than (Part 1) mainly because I want to consentrate more on story and plot. The episodes will be about 2-3 minutes long, and will be constructed in about 2-3 weeks.
So, My schedule in episode release is going to be the release of "The Mr.Hick Series" and then the release of Part 2 in the "Stellargate FL-A series". I expect this all to take about 5 weeks total, but I'll make sure to keep everyone updated more often than I have been. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
